I took one injection of Lupron for fibroids in Nov. 2001. It totally changed my life. I am no longer the same person I was before. It started with severe migraine headaches for 14 days straight and attacks of nausea lack of appetite. I used to have a strong stomach - now I was very easily nauseated. I never went for the second shot. I began to have panic attacks regularly (I had not had them for over 20 yrs). I was tired all the time and a person who used to work out at the gym 5 days a week - eventually I quit. Now I just walk. I feel about 65 yrs old (I am just 49). I look old my face began to droop my hair thinned. I had bouts of depression coupled with general anxiety. My migraines worsened. My sex drive dropped to zero. I feel almost "sexless". I used to be confident now I was afraid of everything. I now suffer from irritable bowel syndrome - with bouts of diarrhea bloating and severe gas pains. I have trouble eating sometimes.. I have had all the tests and no one can find anything wrong with me,and none of the doctors think all these problems are due to Lupron. But. I know - I was NOT like this before Lupron. It ruined my life. I just wish my doctor would have informed me of all the terrible side effects - she only told me about hot flashes. I looked into suing her for malpractice but the lawyers said they could not build a case with no real medical evidence that my symptoms are caused by Lupron. I just wish I had known then what I know now. I tell everyone - NEVER take Lupron. Six years later and I still feel like this. Oh what I wouldn't give to have not taken that drug. I feel very sad to hear that your life has taken such a bad turn; but I doubt that it was caused by the Lupron. You see. I suffered from endometriosis for more years than I care to remember. Now after the second shot the bleeding finally stopped. I don't even know how I am managing to type back right now. I am seconds from calling the ambulance to escort me to the hospital because I just can't take the headache the lights the sound. It feels like someone is beating me in the back of my head with a hammer nonstop. It makes me throw up and nasueas. I can't take it other side effects are one minute I feel like it's the greatest day ever and I'm singing and happy. Then I'm mad as hell then I'm just pissed then I'm sooo down I feel like I'm not going to live to see my next birthday. I was hoping to try for another baby but I am ready to get a hysterectomy as soon as possible to avoid all of this any longer. I'm also starting to forget. I tried to take my boys to the mall tonight and had to cut it short because my head hurt so bad I was afraid to drive. I made it home safely but the headache is a night mare right now. I'll pray for you you pray for me. Wow! I took Lupron injections for three months and I suppose I am lucky but the only side effect I had were hot flashes. I do not know how long I am taking Vytorin maybe a year or so. The doctors called me and whooped it up ( I thought it was a serious issue) but they were just so excited that my cholesterol levels and other levels went down by more than one hundred points. I started taking Toprol XL on Wednesday 11-14. I had been admitted to the cardiac unit after having to be given 2 nitro pills and also a nitro conjoin to get my chest pain to go away and my blood compel to come drink. I miss me... WB has turned me into a zombie and I'm more depressed than before. I've only been on it for 5 days but I don't think I be to see if it works out after reading these posts. One of my study complaints about WB are the constant hallucinations. While mild they make me anxious agitated and a little paranoid. I don't undergo much in the way of visual hallucinations mostly hearing sounds and perceiving them to be threats and smelling odd smells that don't exist. I'm also emotionally "flat" undergo no interest in anything and I'm shaky and feel very cold most of the time. And I've never had arouse issues before but now I don't trust myself around anyone. I just be to be alone. I was told this medication would work for Seasonal Depression and help me to depart smoking but right now I miss how I normally feel. Has anyone else had hallucinations? Do they go away or should I quit taking WB right away? It doesn't make comprehend to experience for a full month when my seasonal depression only lasts for 4 months anyway - does it alter sense to hang in there and see what happens? After reading these postings if WB doesn't work for me. I'll go approve to being un-medicated. It doesn't seem so bad now. I'm taking generic 100mg SR twice a day.
